Tafros began with a simple goal: a squid jig that pairs a lifelike prawn profile with a truly dynamic underwater presence.
Slim silhouette, textured body, UV glow and a tuned internal balance make it feel less like another lure and more like a small engineered system.

06Internal weight transfer
A moving core inside.
The internal weight shifts toward the head of the squid jig during the cast, significantly enhancing casting performance and helping achieve greater distance. As soon as the jig enters the water, the weight gradually moves toward the tail, creating a distinctive V-Roll action. Once the weight settles at the rear, the jig delivers a balanced and controlled descent, just like a classic squid jig.

07Research and tuning
Versions before the one.
Each prototype changed one variable at a time, until the jig did exactly what it was designed to do.
Casting distanceThe moving core was tuned to load the rod and release the jig cleanly at range.
V-Rolling descentThe roll was refined until it stayed visible, repeatable, and alive on every drop that follows a rod jerk.
Rod responseThe upward stroke was sharpened, giving experienced hands precise control when working the jig.

Tested on water
Every iteration went to sea before it went to production. Casting range, sink rate and the roll itself were adjusted against real conditions, not simulations.
The fourteenth body is the one that held its action in current, in depth and at range.
